I am passionate about removing accidental complexity from all aspects of the SDLC, from coding to monitoring.
I spent many years helping many different organizations (such as Tesco and ASOS, AKQA and Stack Overflow) with their software engineering efforts, seeing many different ways of organizing work, teams and code, some good, some bad. These experiences have brought me to the belief that a focus on simplicity and the ability to iterate on software solutions fast are the best ways to build great, fit for purpose software that works for those who make it and those who use it. As CTO of Intelligent Hack, it is my mission to bring these practices to our clients, to improve the lives of their staff and the quality of their software.
